There is now an adapted programme for Second Class/P4 for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
This programme consists of the following elements:
• Three pupil books designed specifically for children with mild (Book A), moderate (Book B) and severe (Book C) learning needs.
• Two social stories to help children to prepare to celebrate the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion for the first time. These two social stories are in the one book.
• Two activity books, one for First Reconciliation and one for First Holy Communion. These two activity books are contained within the one book.
• An additional online resource consisting of special downloadable templates with activities for children with severe learning needs for whom the Book C pupil book would be too difficult;
• An online Teacher’s Guide, with lesson plans and embedded links to music, videos and additional classroom activities.
